CHERRY HILL – Mother and father requested the public's help in identifying a guy they feel impersonated a police officer and stopped a woman's vehicle in Cherry Hill.
On Monday afternoon around 1 p.m., a lady reported being stopped on Highway 38 in Cherry Hill, with a white van with blue and red LED warning lights, both in the van's grille as well as on its rear doors.
Police said the woman described a white male, in the 30s, with red or dark brown hair along with a mid-length beard, wearing a blue T-shirt with \”POLICE\” on the front, approached her. the driver's side window, then reached the automobile, grabbing his neck.
The woman said she drove away in her vehicle and left the scene, police said.
The vehicle described was captured on CCTV from a short distance and is recognized as a white Ford van, with markings on its rear quarter panel. A license plate wasn't visible.
